May to October (dry season) is the best time to travel to Namibia — clear air, little rain and excellent wildlife viewing, especially July—September around Etosha, when wild animals gather at the waterholes. In the Shouldertimes April/May and September/November It is often a bit quieter and photogenic, but already warmer (especially October).

Check/refresh standard vaccinations in accordance with STIKO (e.g. tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, MMR, influenza).
