Welcome to “Dunes to Falls” — a unique group trip through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, led by experienced guides, in a small group and with deep respect for people, animals and nature. The journey begins in the gentle hustle and bustle of Windhoek before venturing out into the vastness of the Namib Desert — where the wind forms golden dunes and Deadvlei looks like a painting with its gnarled trees. On to the rugged Atlantic coast, where flamingos dance in the lagoons of Walvis Bay and the cool sound of the sea blows around Swakopmund.

In Damaraland, you'll walk in ancient San footsteps — and in Etosha, you'll see lions, elephants and giraffes come to life at the waterhole. The journey follows the course of the river — through the fertile banks of the Kavango, into the green wonder of the Caprivi region and on to the fabulous Okavango Delta. There you glide silently in a mokoro canoe through reeds and water lilies, sleep in a bush tent under millions of stars and meet nature at eye level.

And as if that wasn't breathtaking enough, the private reserves of Moremi and Mababe follow with top-class safari experiences. In the salt pans of Makgadikgadi, you feel like you're on another planet — quiet, vast, surreal. Finally, it's off to Zimbabwe, where Matobo with its granite mountains, rhinos and rock paintings not only touches the landscape but also spiritually.

🔹 Travel style — comfortable adventure trip

This safari is as “Accommodation Adventure” designed — i.e. with fixed accommodation, but an active, nature-oriented character. The tour combines authentic nature experiences with sustainable comfort.

🔹 Participation & assistance

A certain degree of assistance is part of the travel experience. This includes:

• Carrying your own luggage
• Assistance with loading and unloading the vehicle
• Occasionally helping to wash the dishes while eating together

This shared responsibility creates community and supports a smooth travel process.

• Special safari vehicle with 12 forward-facing seats
• Partially open 4x4 vehicles for game drives
• A few longer driving days are required to cover the long distances in southern Africa

  The tour itinerary is extensive — after all, we cover long distances through three countries in 21 days. There are also some long driving days necessary to experience the fascinating diversity of southern Africa. At the same time, the tour offers enough time for outdoor activities, such as game drives, bush walks or relaxing hours in the midst of magnificent landscapes.
  
  The accommodation is comfortable but not luxurious. Especially in remote areas such as the Okavango Delta, Wilderness up close experienced — with tents, campfires and shared showers. That is exactly what makes this trip so attractive: Pure nature, but always with comfort, safety and sustainability in mind.

🔹 What is local payment used for?

Local payment is an integral part of the total price, but will On site in cash paid because there are many benefits in southern Africa not by bank transfer or card can be paid. It is used directly by the tour guide to pay the following expenses:

• Camping & accommodation fees in particularly remote areas

• Local markets & stops where only cash is accepted
• Support from Community projects and conservation initiatives

🔹 Why not pay in advance?

Many places that are visited on this trip are very remote. There are:

• Not a stable banking system
• No credit card terminals
• No way to make transfers

Payment in cash allows the organizer to fair and direct working with small providers and communities — e.g. with SOS Trees Project in Okavango or during educational projects such as N'kwazi Lodge.
