Dunes, delta, thundering falls — a journey to the wonders of southern Africa
There are trips that leave traces — not on the map, but deep in the heart. This 21-day safari from the bright red dunes of the Namib to the water labyrinths of the Okavango Delta to the thundering waters of Victoria Falls is just such a trip. A journey that not only connects places, but also creates experiences that last.
Welcome to “Dunes to Falls” — a unique group trip through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, led by experienced guides, in a small group and with deep respect for people, animals and nature. Whether you are traveling to Africa for the first time or are already in love with this mysterious continent, this tour will enchant you.
The journey begins in the gentle hustle and bustle of Windhoek before venturing out into the vastness of the Namib Desert — where the wind forms golden dunes and Deadvlei looks like a painting with its gnarled trees. On to the rugged Atlantic coast, where flamingos dance in the lagoons of Walvis Bay and the cool sound of the sea blows around Swakopmund.
In Damaraland, you'll walk in ancient San footsteps — and in Etosha, you'll see lions, elephants and giraffes come to life at the waterhole. The journey follows the course of the river — through the fertile banks of the Kavango, into the green wonder of the Caprivi region and on to the fabulous Okavango Delta. There you glide silently in a mokoro canoe through reeds and water lilies, sleep in a bush tent under millions of stars and meet nature at eye level.
And as if that wasn't breathtaking enough, the private reserves of Moremi and Mababe follow with top-class safari experiences. In the salt pans of Makgadikgadi, you feel like you're on another planet — quiet, vast, surreal. Finally, it's off to Zimbabwe, where Matobo with its granite mountains, rhinos and rock paintings not only touches the landscape but also spiritually.
The big deal? The thundering Victoria Falls — one of the seven natural wonders of our world. A place that overwhelms the senses, opens your heart and shows you once again what Africa really is: wild, beautiful, deeply moving.
This trip is not just a vacation. It is an experience. An invitation to travel more slowly, to see more consciously, to feel more deeply. It is intended for all those who travel with open eyes and open hearts. And with the good feeling of not only experiencing the adventure of a lifetime with Ajimba African Tours and our partner Sunway Safaris — but also doing good in the process: for the people, animals and nature of Africa.
Ready to leave your footprints on the sands of the South? Then come along — from dunes to falls. Africa is waiting.
