What you should bring to this course:

• Camera equipment:
  Your camera - preferably a DSLR, but any camera with a manual option will work.
  Lenses: Wide-angle, standard zoom, and, if possible, a telephoto zoom of about 300 mm.
  Other camera accessories you might want to use.
  Camera instruction manual.
• Memory cards and card reader.
• Flash unit, if you have one.
• Good, sturdy tripod.
• Beanbag - you can make your own beanbag by filling three-quarters of a fabric bag with rice or similar material.
• Laptop, if available - but not necessary.

You don't need large telephoto lenses or fancy equipment. Please bring the gear you own, and we will tailor the workshop to suit your equipment.

Meals

• Early morning: Tea, coffee, biscuits, fresh fruit, and cereal
• Post-activity brunch: Cooked breakfast and fruit salad
• Afternoon tea: Light lunch / sandwiches
• Dinner: Balanced, hot meal with meat, vegetables, and salad

• Participants must be able to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Sufficient fitness and the ability to walk at least 2 km
• Ages 16 and up without adult supervision.

Why should I take the 7-day wildlife photography course?
You have a passion for wildlife, for immersing yourself in nature, and you love photography.

The focus is on photography in the wild. You will be out in the bush both morning and afternoon, enjoying spectacular photo opportunities. In between, there is a daily lecture that also focuses on nature photography. If you are looking to expand your knowledge of wildlife and nature photography, this wildlife photography course is perfect for you.

What qualifications do I need to study wildlife photography?
No prior qualifications are required to participate in a wilderness photography course. Anyone aged 16 or over with a passion for photography is welcome to sign up.

How do I prepare for the course?
You must be able to walk at least 2 km, hold a valid driver's license (manual transmission preferred), and provide a first-aid certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
