Ajimba African Tours GmbH is pleased to announce the first handover of donated laptops for the non-profit organization Labdoo.org. Last week, a group of language students was able to deliver the first laptops to the Greenheights Primary School near Durban, South Africa.
It is an essential part of the Ajimba philosophy that travel and commitment to the needs of people in Southern Africa go hand in hand. Promoting this and providing guests with a new, different perspective on the living conditions of the people at their travel destination is at the heart of Ajimba's trips. For the first group of participants on an adult language course, this became a reality in Durban. They met with the principal, Mr. Sonny Deva, and were able to hand over the first 4 of a total of 10 laptops being provided to the school through the Labdoo.org network. In this way, the school and the students were brought together in a meaningful way during their vacation.
Labdoo.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide. To achieve this, donated laptops are equipped with open-source software and educational content before being transported carbon-neutrally to schools around the world by volunteer travelers.
