Overview

Mobile Safari Botswana — Safari Authentic

Botswana is considered one of Africa's last great safari paradises — a country in which wilderness still has room and experiences of nature are not staged but real. On this mobile safari, you'll experience Botswana as few travelers do: intensely, decelerated and right in the heart of some of southern Africa's most spectacular protected areas.

This Serviced Mobile Safari takes you through iconic regions such as Okavango Delta, the wild rich Moremi Game Reserve, the original areas of Khwai, the legendary levels of Savute And finally to the powerful Chobe River. You will stay in comfortable, fixed safari tents with private bathrooms, which are built exclusively for your group — always at carefully selected locations surrounded by nature. In the evening, listen to the sounds of the wild, and in the morning, the day starts with views of Africa's wildlife.

You will be accompanied by experienced safari guides and an experienced camp team who will take care of your well-being and introduce you to mobile safari life in a pleasant and authentic way. Open safari vehicle game drives, a traditional Mokoro ride Through the waterways of the Okavango Delta and a boat safari on the Chobe River give you a variety of perspectives on landscapes and wildlife observations.

This trip is aimed at nature-loving travelers who value a real safari feeling, small groups and in-depth nature experiences. Whether it's lions in Savute, elephant herds on the Chobe or the silent magic of the Okavango Delta — this safari is an invitation to explore Botswana intensively and unadulterated.

Mobile Safari Botswana — authentic wilderness between Okavango and Chobe

Botswana is a country of vastness, silence and intensive experiences of nature. It is not people who set the rhythm here, but the landscape, the water and the animal world. One Mobile safari in Botswana is probably the most original way to discover this fascinating country — close to nature, flexible, personal and far away from large lodge structures. This is exactly the experience that the trip offers you “Safari Authentic”.

In small groups, you will travel across some of Botswana's most important protected areas and experience safari not as a program item, but as an ongoing journey of discovery. From the waterways of the Okavango Delta to the elephant-rich banks of the Chobe River, a new chapter of African wilderness unfolds day by day.

Route & highlights — from Maun to Kasane (or vice versa)

The safari takes you through an exceptionally varied region in northern Botswana. The starting point is either Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, or Kasane on the Chobe River — depending on the date, the journey takes you in the classic or reverse direction. The experience remains the same, only the order of the stations varies.

Highlights of this safari include:

  • That Moremi Game Reserve, known for its high animal density and varied landscape of lagoons, forests and open plains
  • The wild rich Khwai area, which is appreciated for intensive wildlife viewing and its location on a natural wildlife corridor
  • The legendary Savute Region in Chobe National Park, famous for predators, large herds of elephants and dramatic savanna landscapes
  • The Chobe River, where a boat safari opens up completely new perspectives on hippos, crocodiles and elephants

Each region has its own character — and it is precisely this diversity that makes this mobile safari so special.

Safari experiences & nature observations

Game drives in an open safari vehicle are the focus of this trip. Guided by experienced, English-speaking safari guides, you will search for clues in the morning and afternoon. Lions, leopards, wild dogs, buffaloes, giraffes and numerous antelope species are just as much a part of the range of possible sightings as impressive bird life.

A special experience is the Mokoro ride in the Okavango Delta. Glide silently through narrow water channels, past water lilies, papyrus and reeds in a traditional dugout boat — an intensive encounter with one of Africa's most unique river landscapes.

At the end of the trip, a Chobe River boat safari, where elephants, hippos and numerous waterfowl in particular can be observed at close range — an atmospheric end to this safari.

Comfortable mobile camping — authentic and well thought-out

You will spend the night in comfortable, fixed safari tents with private en suite bathroom. The camps are built exclusively for your group and are located in selected locations surrounded by nature. Despite the mobile concept, you don't have to sacrifice comfort: proper beds, private sanitary areas and an attentive camp team ensure pleasant evenings and relaxing nights.

A 'mobile safari' is a wonderful way to dive deep into the wilderness of the African bush. The concept has barely changed since the 1920s.
