The African Vocals are an a cappella group from the Mondesa township in Swakopmund and represent what is especially close to Ajimba's heart: authentic Namibian culture, lived community, and the promotion of local opportunities. Ajimba has been working closely with the African Vocals for years. This is about more than just music; it is a sustainable partnership built on three pillars:
1. Guest services and local encounters
In Swakopmund, members of the African Vocals also act as guides for Ajimba travelers – for instance, during authentic township tours through Mondesa. This allows visitors to connect with the community not only through music, but directly through personal stories and insights into daily life.
Ajimba also supports the group with organization and travel planning during their European tours, creating encounters that deepen understanding of Namibia's cultural diversity.
2. Arranging individual performances and concerts
Ajimba organizes exclusive performances by the African Vocals for travelers, companies, and cultural events. These concerts are powerful experiences that tell the stories of the country through sound, rhythm, and movement. Each concert generates income for the musicians and strengthens the economic stability of the entire group.
3. Promoting education in Mondesa – Labdoo laptops for schools
