Arrival in Maun and Start of the Safari
After arriving in Maun, your safari begins with a light-aircraft flight into the first safari area. From the air, impressive views open up over the waterways, lagoons and floodplains of the Okavango Delta.
After landing, meet your safari team and enjoy your first game drive on the way to camp in Moremi Game Reserve. In the evening, enjoy your first dinner under the open sky.
Game Drives in Moremi Game Reserve
The day is devoted entirely to intensive safari experiences in Moremi Game Reserve. In the morning and afternoon, set out on game drives in an open safari vehicle.
The varied landscape of floodplains, woodland and open savannah offers excellent chances of seeing elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards and numerous antelope species.
From Moremi Game Reserve to the Khwai Area
After a morning game drive, leave Moremi and head towards Khwai, stopping repeatedly along the way for wildlife viewing.
The Khwai area is known for its high density of predators and offers particularly good chances of seeing lions and leopards.
Safari Experiences in Khwai
Today you explore the Khwai area in depth. Morning and afternoon game drives follow the Khwai River and cross open plains popular with elephants, giraffes and antelope.
The concession allows flexible safari activities and rewarding nature experiences away from the busier routes.
On to the Savute Region
After breakfast, travel north into the Savute region of Chobe National Park. The area is known for its dramatic landscapes and complex ecosystem.
Savute is excellent territory for lions, hyenas and large herds of elephants. Another game drive awaits in the afternoon.
Game Drives in Savute
The entire day is dedicated to the Savute region. Extended game drives reveal the diverse wildlife of this distinctive savannah landscape.
Vegetation and animal movements change markedly through the seasons – one reason Savute is among Botswana's most fascinating safari regions.
To the Chobe Riverfront
Today you continue to the Chobe Riverfront, one of Africa's richest wildlife areas. The journey crosses different habitats and repeatedly offers opportunities for wildlife viewing.
In the afternoon, reach your camp near the Chobe River, where large herds of elephants and buffalo regularly gather.
Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Chobe
In the morning, enjoy a game drive along the Chobe Riverfront. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Chobe River.
From the water, see elephants, hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species at close range – an impressive change of perspective.
End of the Safari
After breakfast, your safari comes to an end. Depending on the departure date, transfer to Kasane or – when the itinerary operates in reverse – take the final scenic flight to Maun.
On selected dates, the safari is operated entirely in reverse order; the regions, number of nights and activities remain identical.
