Day by day on your journey
Arrival in Bulawayo
After arrival, collect your 4x4 rental vehicle. There is time for some first discoveries in Bulawayo or a detour to the Khami Ruins.
Great Zimbabwe and Lake Mutirikwi
Travel via the A9 to Lake Mutirikwi. The monumental ruins of Great Zimbabwe are among southern Africa's most important historical sites. The second day offers time for sightseeing and relaxation by the lake.
Three Nights in the Eastern Highlands
Travel through rural regions to Musangano Lodge near Mutare. Two full days are available for the mountain landscapes of the Eastern Highlands, hiking and possible excursions to places such as Honde Valley or Nyanga.
Matobo Hills
A longer drive takes you into the impressive granite landscapes of Matobo National Park. The following day is devoted to rock art, history and the park's extraordinary natural scenery.
Safari in Hwange
Return to Bulawayo, drop off the rental vehicle and then transfer to Hwange National Park. At Bomani Tented Lodge, enjoy intensive safari days with game drives, possible bush walks and insights into local community projects.
Victoria Falls and the Zambezi
Travel from Hwange to Victoria Falls. Three nights provide time for the waterfalls, the Zambezi and numerous optional experiences. The programme may include gorge walks and school or village visits, with further activities available individually.
End of the Journey
Today your journey through Zimbabwe comes to an end. Transfer to the airport for your individual onward journey or flight home.
