This unguided group self-drive tour combines the freedom of driving yourself with the security of an organized route. A maximum of eight guests share up to three off-road vehicles.
Before you set off, you will receive comprehensive driver training. The route then leads from Maun through Khwai and Savuti to Kasane on the Chobe River.

Sand, mud, water crossings, low-range gears, and changing tires are practiced hands-on before the start.
Reserved campsites
All campsites along the route are pre-booked, allowing the group to focus entirely on the safari and nature.

Day by day on your journey
Vehicle Handover & Driver Training
Welcome in Maun, followed by a thorough briefing on your 4x4 vehicle, equipment and route, plus practical driver training for sand, mud, water crossings, recovery techniques and changing a tyre. Afterwards, shop for provisions and spend your first night in Maun.
Camping in the Khwai Community Concession
Spend two nights on the Khwai River with self-guided game drives. Possible sightings include elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, leopards and wild dogs.
Camping in the Savuti Area
Continue into the rugged heart of Chobe National Park. Two days are available for game drives around Savuti Marsh and intensive wildlife viewing.
Chobe River & Journey's End
Drive to Kasane and spend two nights on the Chobe River. A three-hour boat cruise offers excellent wildlife viewing from the water. On day 8, return the vehicle and continue your journey independently.
