Day by day on your journey
Starting at Victoria Falls
After checking into your accommodation, explore Victoria Falls and the tropical rainforest on foot in the afternoon. Here the mighty Zambezi plunges into the gorges – a spectacular start to the journey.
Elephants and Wilderness in Hwange
Travel to Hwange National Park, known for its large elephant herds and diverse habitats. A full day is devoted to wildlife viewing in an open safari vehicle.
Rhinos and Granite Landscapes in Matobo
The journey leads via Bulawayo to Matobo National Park. Amid impressive granite formations, enjoy a guided wildlife walk, search for rhinos and discover ancient rock paintings.
Across the Border to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
In the morning, leave Matobo and travel via Plumtree into Botswana. From Nata, visit the Nata Bird Sanctuary and the vast Makgadikgadi salt pans for sunset in the afternoon.
Arrival at the Okavango Delta
Travel to Maun on the southern edge of the Okavango Delta. The afternoon is free for relaxation and birdwatching on the Thamalakane River; an optional scenic flight over the delta is also possible.
Intensive Safari in Moremi
Rivers, lagoons, savannah and woodland make Moremi one of Botswana's finest wildlife-viewing areas. Spend the days on game drives in an open 4x4, including along the Khwai River.
On the morning of day 10, enjoy a final game drive before returning to Maun.
Mokoro and Motorboat on the Okavango
The route leads around the delta and north to the Okavango Panhandle. From your lodge, explore the tranquil reed-lined waterways by mokoro and motorboat and enjoy the rich birdlife.
From the Okavango to the Zambezi Region
Cross the border into Namibia and drive through Mahango Game Reserve. A game drive takes you through the reserve before you reach your lodge.
Sunset on the Chobe River
Travel through the Zambezi Region back into Botswana. In the afternoon, a boat safari on the Chobe River awaits – with excellent chances of seeing elephants, hippos, crocodiles and numerous other wild animals.
Farewell to the Wilderness
After breakfast, the shared safari comes to an end. Depending on your onward travel arrangements, a shuttle transfer takes you to Kasane Airport, Victoria Falls Airport or Victoria Falls town.
